Dar Al Mussawir hosts the opening of “Shatila – Children’s Eyes” on Friday, June 22nd at 6:00 pm.
About “Shatila – Children’s Eyes”:
“Shatila – Children’s Eyes” is a result of a three-month photography training for 15 young participants living in the Palestinian refugee camp of Shatila and aged between 11 and 15.
The participants, chosen from the Children and Youth Centre of Shatila, were equipped with disposable cameras. They wandered around the camp to capture and reflect their daily lives through the medium of photography.
This exhibition is theirs. The only authors of the pictures are the children, who portrayed their lives and delivered strong messages through images.
About the founders:
The research was led by three young French living in Beirut: Pierre Peyrelongue, Hugo Chouarbi and the photographer Enzo Baudino.
Working closely with the Children and Youth Center of Shatila, they aimed at making the children learn the basics of photography, shed light on key issues in Shatila and communicating the problems faced in the camp.
Exhibition continues until June 27.
يستضيف دار المصور إفتتاح معرض “مخيم شاتيلا -بعيون أطفاله” وذلك نهار الجمعة ٢٢ حزيران ٢٠١٨ عند الساعة السادسة مساءً.
عن مخيم شاتيلا -بعيون أطفال
يأتي هذا المعرض تتويجاً لثلاثة أشهر من التدريب على التصوير الفوتوغرافي لخمسة عشر مشاركاً يقطنون في مخيم اللجوء الفلسطيني، شاتيلا.
تم اختيار المشتركين، الذين تتراوح اعمارهم بين ١١ و١٥ عاماً، من مركز الشباب لمخيم شاتيلا وذلك لالتقاط حياتهم اليومية في المخيم من خلال عدسات كاميراتهم.
فهم أصحاب هذا المعرض وهم كتبوا روايته من خلال صورهم.
عن أصحاب المشروع
هم ثلاثة شبان من الجنسية الفرنسية، تعرفوا على مخيم شاتيلا من خلال مركز الشباب هناك.
يهدف مشروعهم إلى تنمية قدرات التصوير لدى المشتركين من جهة، وتسليط الضوء على المشاكل والمواضيع الحساسة التي يوجهها سكان المخيم.
يستمر المعرض لغاية ٢٧ حزيران ٢٠١٨
