عندما كنا صغاراً كان الأمر صعباً .. و لكن ماذا يمكننا أن نفعل؟ إلى متى كنا سنظل نشتكي؟ كان علينا أن نتقبل الأمر و نمضي بحياتنا. و خاصة أنه كان لا يقضي وقتاً كبيراً معنا و كنا لا نلتقي كثيراً .. لذلك الشخص الوحيد الذي يستطيع فهم أرجون كابور هو والدته مونا كابور

Arjun Kapoor (born 26 June 1985) is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films.[2] The son of film producers Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor, Kapoor initially worked an assistant director on his father’s productions No Entry (2005) and Wanted (2009). He made his acting debut through the 2012 action romance Ishaqzaade and subsequently appeared in several successful films, including the crime drama Gunday (2014), the coming-of-age romantic comedy 2 States (2014), the English-language road comedy Finding Fanny (2014), and the satire Ki & Ka (2016).
Kapoor was born into a Punjabi family[3] on 26 June 1985[1] in Bombay, Maharashtra to the Hindi film producer, Boney Kapoor and the entrepreneur Mona Shourie Kapoor.[4][5] He is the grandson of filmmaker Surinder Kapoor. He is the nephew of actors Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and producer Sandeep Marwah, and the first-cousin of actress Sonam Kapoor, actors Mohit Marwah, Harshvardhan Kapoor and producer Rhea Kapoor. He has a younger sister, Anshula Kapoor.[6] Actress Sridevi was his stepmother, and he also has two half-sisters, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor.[7] When asked in an interview about his father’s second marriage, Kapoor said: “When we were kids, it was difficult. But what can you do? How long will you complain? You have to accept what is, take it on your chin, and move on.”[8] Arjun also said that “We don’t really meet and spend time together so it doesn’t really exist,”[9] His mother died in 2012.
Kapoor was educated at the Arya Vidya Mandir school in Mumbai, which he attended till his 11th grade. After failing his eleventh grade examinations, he quit his studies.[4] In his teens and early twenties, Kapoor suffered from obesity and approximately weighed 140 kg; he later said that due to his condition, he used to be “sloppy, grumpy” and “under-confident”.[10]
Career
2003–12: Early work, acting debut and breakthrough

Kapoor’s first job in the film industry was as an assistant director on Nikhil Advani‘s Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003.[11] He also assisted Advani on his next directorial Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love (2007), and worked as an associate producer on two of his father’s productions—No Entry (2005) and Wanted (2009).[11] Kapoor was then signed on for a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films, a leading production company in India.[12]
In 2011, it was announced that Kapoor will debut with a film named Virus Diwan, produced under Yash Raj Films, which was shelved after sometime. Later, he signed on to debut with the company’s romantic drama Ishaqzaade (2012) alongside Parineeti Chopra, which tells the love story between a son and daughter of a Hindu and Muslim political family, respectively. While filming a running sequence for the feature in Barabanki, Kapoor suffered a spasm in his hamstring muscle, though he finished the scene after resting for five minutes.[13] Ishaqzaade became a profitable venture, earning ₹670 million (US$9.4 million) worldwide, and his performance was praised, winning Kapoor a Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut.
Yash Raj Films’ next project to star Kapoor was the action thriller Aurangzeb (2013) whose title matches to the name of a Mughal emperor of the same name. It marked the directorial debut of Atul Sabarwal, and co-starred Jackie Shroff, Rishi Kapoor and Amrita Singh; he portrayed two twin brothers looking exact like doppelgangers. Critic Rachna Saltz from The New York Times said of Kapoor that he is a “star of an earlier generation” and is “well-cast and matched”.[14] However, the film underperformed at the box office.
For his first film in 2014, Kapoor teamed with Yash Raj Films for the third consecutive time on Gunday, a crime action film also starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it saw him and Singh portray two bandits with bold attitude who fall for a dancer (Chopra). He described his character as “temperamental” who acts as a “moment’s heat”. Film analyst Anupama Chopra mentioned the film, which received mixed reviews, as an “unabashed love letter to the 1970s”. Nevertheless, Gunday proved to be a commercial success, and accumulated over ₹1.2 billion (US$17 million) worldwide.

As Kapoor’s three-film deal concluded, he next collaborated with the producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar to star opposite Alia Bhatt in an film adaptation of Chetan Bhagat‘s popular novel 2 States released with the same title. He played Krish Malhotra, a college student wanting to become a writer. Saurabh Dwivedi stated that Kapoor “shows his pain through body language but falls short in some scenes opposite his co-actor Ronit Roy“. The project was well appreciated, garnering critical acclaim, and earned more than ₹1.02 billion (US$14 million) in India to emerge as his biggest commercial success so far. He received a IIFA Award for Best Actor nomination.[15] His last release of 2014 was the Homi Adajania‘s adventurous satire Finding Fanny, which follows the lives of five dysfunctional people in search of a woman named Fanny.
In 2015, Kapoor featured in his father‘s second younger brother Sanjay‘s first production Tevar, a remake of the Telugu film Okkadu (2003), in which he co-starred alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee as a Kabaddi player. He was director Amit Sharma‘s only choice to play the role.[citation needed] Upon release, the film was poorly received and failed both critically and commercially.[16]
The following year, Kapoor served as the host for the seventh season of Colors TV‘s reality stunts-performing series Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. In the same year, he starred opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in R. Balki‘s satirical comedy-drama Ki & Ka, based on the content of gender stereotypes. Kapoor portrayed the male lead Kabir Bansal, a stay-at-home husband. Writing for India Today, Ananya Bhattacharya gave the film a negative review and expressed about his acting that: “Arjun looks like a mouthing sharp”.
2017–present: Career downturn
The Mohit Suri-directed teen romantic drama Half Girlfriend became Kapoor’s first film of 2017, which served as a retelling of Bhagat’s novel of the same name. He was cast in the role of Madhav Jha, a basketball champion who hardly speaks English and ends up getting attracted towards a college girl (played by Shraddha Kapoor) when he joins a college. In an interview Kapoor admitted that he signed the film despite not reading the novel.

Later that year, Kapoor played twin brothers for the second time in Mubarakan, a comedy directed by Anees Bazmee, in which he starred alongside his uncle Anil. The film also featured Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty as the love interests of his characters. In her review, Saibal Chatterjee wrote that Kapoor “demonstrates a comic flair that is crying out for a better film”.
In 2018, Kapoor starred in a spin-off to the romantic comedy Namastey London (2007) named Namaste England and helmed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. He played a character that falls in love with an aspiring jewellery designer (essayed by Parineeti Chopra).
2019 was yet another disappointing year in Kapoor’s career, as the two films he starred in were commercial failures again. In his first release, the crime drama India’s Most Wanted directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, he essayed the role of an agent who is given a secret mission of tracking a terrorist. His next screen appearance occurred in Ashutosh Gowarikar‘s period drama Panipat alongside Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. Based on the 3rd Panipat battle, it featured him as Maratha emperor Sadashiv Rao Bhau and depicted how Bhau fought the battle against the Afghan warrior Ahmed Shah Abdali.

Kapoor has been in a relationship with actress Malaika Arora since 2019.[17]
Off-screen work
Kapoor is a celebrity endorser for various brands and products, and was the co-owner of the ISL team FC Pune City.[18] In 2014 and again in 2015, he supported and endorsed the Earth Hour initiative in India.[19] During this time, he was the Indian ambassador for World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and along with working towards creating awareness for Earth Hour, he has also helped raise awareness for conservation in the Sundarbans region of the country.[20] In 2015, he supported the United Nations Global Goals campaign represented India at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, where he gave a speech highlighting India’s progress as a nation and the challenges faced by the country.[21] In 2017, Arjun joined hands with the global movement and campaign to empower and educate women – Girl Rising.[22] Philips also roped him as the brand ambassador for its ‘Male Grooming’ business.[23] He is also a brand ambassador for Flying Machine and Royal Stag along with Ranveer Singh.[24][25] Kapoor co-hosted the IIFA Awards ceremony in 2015 with Singh.[26] Arjun was also the brand ambassador for the world’s leading bicycle manufacturer – Hero Cycles.[27] He has also hosted the seventh season of the successful TV show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.[28] As of 2017, he also endorses Smith & Jones ketchup, condiments and sauces,[29] and Admiral England Sportswear & Sportshoes.[30][31]

أرجون كابور، (بالهندية: अर्जुन कपूर)، (بالإنجليزية: Arjun Kapoor)، (وُلِد في 26 يونيو، 1985 بِمومباي، الهند-)، مُمثِل هنديّ في أفلام بوليوود. هُوّ ابن المنتج السينمائي بوني كابور. بعد أن عَمِل كمُساعد مُخرج ومُنتج مُشارك في عددٍ من الأفلام، أصبح أرجون ممثلاً في أول فيلم له مع المخرج حبیب فیصل وهو فيلم الدراما والرومانسية إيشاقزادي عام 2012 فرُشِح عن هذا الفيلم لجائزة أفضل ممثل في أول ظهور من جوائز فيلم فير.
في عام 2014 لعب أرجون دور البطولة في فيلمان نجحوا تِجارياً وتخطوا حاجز الـ 100 كرور روبيه وهُما فيلمي جونداي وشاركه البطولة بريانكا شوبرا ورانفير سينغ وفيلم ولايتان حيثُ شاركته البطولة عاليا بهات. وقد تلقى مُراجعات إيجابية من النقاد في أغلب أفلامه حتى الآن.
الحياة المُبكرة
أرجون كابور في عام 2013.
وُلِد أرجون في 26 يونيو، 1985 بِمومباي، الهند لأب وأُم هنديان هُما المنتج المخضرم بوني كابور وسيدة الأعمال والمُنتجة منى كابور [الإنجليزية] التي توفيت قبل ثلاث أسابيع من عرض فيلم إيشاقزادي أولى أفلام أرجون بسبب مرض السرطان [1][2]، ومما يجب الإشارة إليه هُوّ أنَّ أرجون حفيد المُخرج القدير سوريندر كابور [الإنجليزية] وابن أخ الممثل سانجاي كابور والممثل العالمي أنيل كابور وهذا يعني أنَّ الممثلة ومُصممة الأزياء سونام كابور تكون ابنة عم أرجون كابور، لديه شقيقة واحدة هيّ أنشولا كابور[3].
عندما أصبح عُمره 10 سنوات قرر والده بوني تركه وترك أخته وطلق زوجته مُنى حتى يتزوج من الممثلة المعتزلة سريديفي، ومنذُ ذاك الحين انفصل أرجون عن والده فقامت والدته بتربيتهم وحدها وظل أرجون بعيداً عن والده سنين طويلة يرفض مقابلته أو التحدث معه بسبب ما فعله حتى أصبح شاباً عندها بدأ يتقبل زوجة والده سريديفي ويتقبل معها أولادها وإخوته من أبيه وهُم جاهانفي كابور وخوشي كابور وبدأت علاقته بأبيه تتحسن شيئاً فشيئاً، ويقول أرجون في إحدى مُقابلاته مع كاران جوهر عن هذه الفترة من حياته:
تلقى تعليمه في مدرسة “Arya Vidya Mandir”، بقي في هذه المدرسة حتى السنة الأخيرة من الثانوية وبعد فشله في امتحانات السنة الأخيرة قرر ترك دراسته [1]. أثناء مرحلة المُراهقة وأوائل العشرينيات عانى أرجون من السُمنة المفرطة والوزن الزائد حتى بلغ وزنه 140 كيلو غرام ويقول عن هذه المرحلة من حياته أنّه كان دائماً قذراً وغاضباً وعديم الثقة بالنفس [5].
عندما أصبح بعُمر 18 عاماً بدأ أرجون بمواعدة أربيتا خان أخت الممثل سلمان خان ولكنهما انفصلا بعد سنتين من بدء العلاقة وقد تزوجت أربيتا في عام 2014 من رجل آخر [1].
الحياة الفنية
البداية (2003 – 2011)
دخل عالم بوليوود في عام 2003 كمُساعد مُخرج مع المخرج نيخيل أدفاني [الإنجليزية] بفيلم غدا قد يأتي وقد لا يأتي الذي كان من بطولة شاروخان وسيف علي خان وبريتي زينتا [6]. ويقول أرجون كابور أنّه عام 2007 ساعد ذات المخرج في فيلمه التالي وهو فيلم سلام إشق الذي كان من بطولة سلمان خان وبريانكا تشوبرا وأنيل كابور وجوهي تشاولا وجون أبراهام وغوفيندا وأكشاي خانا وفيديا بالان وسهيل خان وعائشة تاكيا، ثُمّ عَمِل كمنتج مشارك لفيلمين من أفلام والده الإنتاجية وهُما فيلم ممنوع الدخول عام 2005 وقد كان من بطولة سلمان خان وأنيل كابور وفاردين خان وإيشا ديول ولارا دوتا وبيباشا باسو، وفيلم “Wanted” عام 2009 الذي كان من بطولة سلمان خان وعائشة تاكيا وفينود خانا [6].
ساهمت كل هذه الأفلام التي عمل بها أرجون وكانت من بطولة سلمان خان بتعزيز رابطة العلاقة بين سلمان وأرجون وكان أرجون آنذاك سميناً خجولاً فبدأ سلمان خان من عام 2005 يُحفزه حتى ينحف ويستعيد لياقته وساعده حتى يتعلم التمثيل والرقص، وفي الحقيقة لم يكُن لدى أرجون ميل نحو التمثيل بل كان يريد أن يُصبح منتج كأبيه ولكن ثقة سلمان خان به دفعته وحثته على السير في هذا الطريق [7]. عام 2011 وقع أرجون ثلاث عقود لأفلام مع شركة ياش راج فيلم التي كانت ولا زالت أنجح شركات الإنتاج في الهند [8].
النجومية (2012 – الآن)
عام 2012 أطلق أرجون أول فيلم من تمثيله وهو فيلم إيشاقزادي [الإنجليزية] من إخراج حبيب فيصل وشاركته في البطولة بارنيتي شوبرا ولاقى نجاحاً كبيراً عند النُقاد والجمهور وحصل على الجائـزة الوطنية كأفضل فيلم ورُشِح أرجون كابور عن هذا الدور لجائزة أفضل ممثل في أول ظهور من جوائز فيلم فير [9]، ويحكي الفيلم قصة عائلتين سياسيتين إحداهما مسلمة والأُخرى هندوسية بينهما كراهيـة متبادلة تعود لأجيال ويقوم أرجون كابور بدور “بارما تشاوهان” الفتى الشقي والمجرم الهندوسي الذي يغتصب زويا قُريشي الفتاة المسلمة الحسناء وابنة الحزب السياسي المنافس ويقع في حبها لاحقاً. ويقول الصحفي والناقد “تاران أدارش” عن الفيلم:
- «كان ظهور أرجون كابور الأول رائعاً يتكلم بلغة الجسد وقد قدم شخصية جدية ومتهورة في الفيلم [10].»
وقد روج سلمان خان لفيلم إيشاقزادي على تويتر فصرح أرجون عن سلمان:

«سلمان هو أخي الأكبر. مرة قال لي أنّه يعتقد أني يجب أن أتجه إلى التمثيل، وأنه ينبغي أن أجرب ذلك. في ذلك الوقت كنت حقاً أعاني من السمنة المفرطة ولا يمكن أن أتخيل نفسي كممثل. سلمان جعلني تحت جناحيه وسافرت معه لمدة سنتين تقريباً في وقت كان يقوم بفيلمي Veer و Wanted، وعملت بها معه. إنه يثق بقدراتي ولهذا السبب أنا هنا اليوم [7].»
كان الفيلم الثاني لأرجون فيلم أورنجزيب (فيلم) [الإنجليزية] عام 2013 حيثُ لعب دوراً مزدوجاً، فشِل الفيلم تجارياً ولكن أداء أرجون في الفيلم لقي الاستحسان من قبل النُقاد ويقول الناقد موهار باسو عن ذلك:
- «أرجون لعب دوراً مزدوجاً معقداً واستطاع تقديمه على أكمل وجه ويستحق كُلَّ الثناء على ما قدمه في الفيلم.»

عام 2014 كان بمثابة العام الذهبي لأرجون فقد قدم فيلمان مُتتاليان وكِلهُما نجح كثيراً سواءً على مستوى شباك التذاكر أو النُقاد وكان أولاهما فيلم جونداي الذي كان من بطولة رانفير سينغ وبريانكا تشوبرا إضافةً إلى أرجون وهو من إخراج علي عباس ظفَّر، وتدور أحداث الفيلم في فترة الثمانينيات ويحكي قصة اثنين من لصوص الفحم وهما أرجون كابور ورانفير سينغ، نجح الفيلم نجاحاً ساحقاً ويقول الناقد روهيت كيلناني أنَّ الفضل في ذلك يعود إلى الكيمياء والانسجام الموجود بين أرجون ورانفير سينغ وقد ربح الفيلم 100 كرور أي 16 مليون دولار في جميع أنحاء العالم وهذا الرقم يُعتبر نوعاً ما كبيراً بالنسبة لبوليوود [11].
بعد ثلاث أدوار إجرامية قدمها أرجون قرر التغيير قليلاً فكان فيلمه الرابع رومانسي كوميدي وهُوّ فيلم ولايتان من بطولة أرجون وعاليا بهات وهو من إنتاج كاران جوهر، يحكي الفيلم قصة طالبان يواجهان مشكلة في إقناع والديهم بالموافقة على العلاقة بينهما فعائلة عالية وأرجون من ولايتان هنديتان مُختلفتان من حيث عادات الزواج والمفاهيم واللهجات والملابس والأفكار والأديان وحتى الطعام لذا يحاول أرجون إقناع وإرضاء عائلة عالية به ثُمّ تحاول عالية إقناع وإرضاء عائلة أرجون ثُمّ عندما يوافقون عليهما يُحاول أرجون وعالية جعل كل عائلة تُحب وتُعجب بالأُخرى كُل هذه الأحداث تدور في قالب عائلي كوميدي رومانسي، حصل هذا الفيلم على 100 كرور أي 16 مليون دولار مما زاد شهرة ونجاح أرجون [12].
فيلمه الخامس هو “Finding Fanny (2014)” من إخراج هومي ادجانيا وبطولة ديبيكا بادكون ونصر الدين شاه وديمبل كاباديا وبانكاج كابور والد الممثل شاهيد كابور كما ظهر رانفير سينغ كضيف شرف حيثُ لعب دور زوج ديبيكا بادوكون، وهو فيلم كوميدي يحكي قصة خمسة حمقى يسافرون في رحلة طويلة للبحث عن امرأة تُدعى فاني، نجح الفيلم في شُباك التذاكر وقُبِل من النقاد بالإشادة واعتبروه أفضل أدوار أرجون حتى الآن.
في 9 يناير عام 2015 صدر له فيلم درامي بِعنوان “Tevar” من إنتاج والده بوني كابور وإخراج أميت شارما وشاركته في البطولة سوناكشي سينها، وهُوّ فيلم مقتبس من فيلم تيلوغوي أُنتِج عام 2003، يلعب به أرجون دور بينتو وهو شاب همجي يُقابل راديكا أثناء هجوم مجرم خطير عليها وهذا الرجل مُغرم بها ويُريد الزواج منها غصباً عنها حتى أنّه قتل أخيها فينقذها بينتو وهُنا تبدأ الرحلة إذ ارتبطت قصة حياتهما صدفةً وبعد ذلك يهربان معاً ويقوم بينتو الذي أصبح مُرتبطاً بحياة راديكا التي لم يعرفها إلا ذاك اليوم فيساعدها بالاختباء ويحميها من ذاك الرجل الذي بدأ مع رجاله بمطاردتهما ومحاولة إيجادهما، حصل الفيلم على مُراجعات سلبية من النُقاد إذ لم يعجبهم الفيلم وعانى من تخبط في شُباك التذاكر إذ أنَّ إيرادته ما بين الجيدة والسيئّة وكسب حتى الآن 56 كرور والفيلم لا زال يُعرض في دور السينما الهندية
