رحلة إستكشاف مع الفنان الضوئي السوري (( هشام زعويط ‏‎Hisham Zaweet‎‏ )) ومع المصور الفرنسي العالمي “يان أرثوس برتران Yann Arthus-Bertrand “..ضمن مشروع “سورية من السماء” “Syria From Above”.. للعام 2008 م …يوم كانت “دمشق عاصمة للثقافة العربية” – (( سبع سنوات مرت خسرنا فيها الكثير مما تم تصويره في هذه الرحلة Seven years have passed where we lost a lot of what was photographed in this journey ))

كانت ثمرة جهدي من هذا العمل مجموعة كبيرة من اللقطات ضم قسما منها كتاب “سورية: رؤية من السماء – Syrie: Vues Du Ciel” بالنصين العربي والفرنسي وصدر في دمشق عام 2009 وهو عمل مشترك مع الصديق الباحث الدكتور حسان عباس الذي كتب النصوص التي رافقتها الصور التي التقطها.

يومها قلت: “لقد بدأت تجربة تصوير سورية من الجو، ومازلت أحلم بأن أصور المزيد من تفاصيل سورية من الجو، وعن الأرض، تصويرا منهجيا يسمح برؤية المشهد والتفاصيل ليكون وثيقة للجمال وللحياة في يد أبناءنا وأحفادنا ورسالة حضارية للعالم من مهد الحضارات ومنطلق ابداعاتها…سورية”.

واليوم أقول: أين هذا اليوم من ذاك الأمس؟!!! وأي حلم؟!!! بل أي واقع؟!!! وأية صورة لسورية غدت لدينا ولدى العالم؟؟؟

On this day in 2008, when Damascus was Capital of Arab Culture, the three days aerial trip by helicopter started within “Syria From Above” project in companion with the International French photographer “Yann Arthus-Bertrand”.

The efforts I’ve paid in this project has yielded a big collection of shots which I’ve included part of them in the book “Syria: Views From the Sky”,”Syrie: Vues Du Ciel” which was edited in both Arabic and French languages and was published in Damascus in 2009. The said book is a joint work with my friend the researcher Dr. Hassan Abbas who has written the texts that were accompanied by the photos I’ve taken.

That day I said: “I started the experience of photographing Syria from the sky, and I keep on dreaming to take thoroughly more photographs of Syria from the sky and on the ground allowing others to regard the scene and the details so that it will be a document of beauty and life in the hands of our sons and grandsons, a civilized message to the world from the cradle and the burst point of civilization…Syria.

Today I say: Where is today from that yesterday?!!! What dream?!!! But what reality?!!! And what image of Syria that we and the world have got???
