هو متحف ومركز ثقافي رمم ليكون متحف لتاريخ بيروت والحرب الأهلية تحديدا، (1975-1990). يقع هذا المركز الثقافي في مبنى بركات والمعروف أيضًا باسم “البيت الأصفر” وهو معلم تاريخي صممه يوسف أفتيموس، وقد دمرت الحرب الأهلية المبنى وأثر الإهمال على هيكله الذي أصبح مسرحًا لأعمال التخريب المتكررة. وعندما قرر مالكوه بيعه عام 1997 تم الحكم عليه بالهدم ولكن أنقذه نشطاء التراث اللبناني وخاصةً المهندسة المعمارية منى حلاق مع “جمعية حماية المواقع والقصور القديمة في لبنان” (APSAD)، وتم تعليق قرار تدمير المبنى.
في العام 2003 أصدرت بلدية بيروت قرار نزع الملكية للمنفعة العامة، وتم ترميمه في العام 2016 ليكون متحف لذاكرة بيروت ومركز ثقافي يعرف بأسم “بيت بيروت”

urban is a celebration on Beirut and specifically the civil war (1975-1990), this cultural center is located in the Barakat building , which was renovated and also known as the “Yellow House” , which was designed by a historic landmark Yousef Aftimus . The civil war destroyed the building of Barakat and the effect of neglect on its structure, which became the scene of repeated acts of vandalism . When the owners decided to sell it in 1997, it was sentenced to demolition but was rescued by Lebanese heritage activists , especially architect Mona Halaq with ” the protection of sites , ancient palaces association in Lebanon” (APSAD). In 2003 the Municipality of Beirut expropriation in the public interest decision, and stated in the decree that the Barakat building will be renovated in 2016 to accommodate a museum of memory and cultural center ( which will be known later as the “House of Beirut”)
